The Company regularly arranges training focused on ensuring that its management and production culture is increasingly environmentally conscious and technical competencies are being developed to support this. Managers and specialists responsible for environmental safety and waste management have access to both government and corporate training programmes.

Gazprom Neft is committed not only to exercising control over contractor activities, but also to involving them in environmental efforts through training, consultations and campaigns. These efforts allow the Company to ensure an even higher reduction of negative environmental impacts within the regions where it operates.
To further reduce anthropogenic pressure on the environment, the corporate collegial body — The Industrial and Environmental Safety, Labour Health and Civil Protection Council — has introduced additional environmental requirements when developing new operational territories. These new requirements are aimed at protecting natural world heritage sites and their buffer zones, preserving animal migration routes, and preventing changes in the natural landscape.
